Hi

any one having this problem?

I have uploaded and I have converted them and used the smarty engine.

I am now changing the basic layout on about twenty templates on travel theme.

First thing is I see the % given for conversion failure but in this theme I have collected 70+ converted them and only have 21 that converted correctly. What a waste of time that was.

Secondly I am experiencing a prob with a high % of those that did convert. When I post a test blog they can either just disappear completely or loose the back groung image. Anyone have any ideas on this or if you pick this up Omar give us a clue

Hi Omar

In a word no. I am just working thru these templates and hit the wall yesterday where I thought enough. Some that lose the background image when posted to are ok to use so I just ploughed on but coupled with the number of white pages on conversion and these converted templates messing up I just felt I would be best to return to hand recoding as with the number of failures had gotten out of control

If this is as simple as a broken css path tell me how posting affects the path cause we are now past "a basic understanding of html" which is above me.

best regards

Hi Omar

Just really to let the world know how this post is progressing after a week.

I pm'd the required details when requested with two examples of templates that had converted correctly to the point of showing OK without being posted to.
These where just two I had picked out due to the fact posting to them had resulted in them failing to show properly namely one had lost the header image and one had lost the background image. I waited 24 hrs without reply then emailed you with the results of my efforts to fix the problem which amounted to the usual culprit or perhaps that should be the stock answer, of the problem being caused by a broken css path, being discounted. I came to this conclusion because when the post content token was removed the page showed correctly and when it was replaced by another token the value of this token showed and the template was complete.

You replied you had not been able to look at them due to Internet connection issues ( dont you just hate it when that happens ). I did think at this point I had explained everything quite clearly regarding what I was doing to the templates and the fact they had test posts for me to work on them online.

So 24 hrs later you come back to me to say the only problem you can see is they do not have posts and the one you tried worked OK. This I grant you they did not all have posts and the one you tried did work OK. God only knows how and why cause I had worked on that one and when I posted to it It DID lose its header Img

I then emailed you again as I had again gone thru the templates removed all the test posts and re posted to them all again and the result was they lost the background.

Your reply to my problem was what where you expected to do. Well in light of the fact probably 30 mins prior to this I had received an email from Scott, as I suspect everyone else had, proclaiming if I have any tech probs to get in touch with Omar, then I expect you to take the matter seriously, as it affects my earnings, and not dismiss what I have said as lies. My time is also valuable and I have spent the best part of 4 days on these templates.

I collected 70+ themed templates for a new niche uploaded them and put them thru the converter. Of those 70+ about 50% had problems at the first stage of conversion. I then set about inserting code for links to affiliate sites adsense and etc. Of those 35ish that made it past the first stage approx 15 showed white when loaded. Of the approx 20 that made it past stage two 15 had this issue of no back ground when posted to which leaves me with about 5 working templates from 70+ and four days down the pan and all you can say is what are you expected to do?

Bad form in my book Omar that really smacks of I DONT CARE ABOUT YOU

Your software is sold on the promise of making life easier thru better time management for those with a basic understanding of html and such. BS, SS and the template converter all fail on those points.

You offer an after sales service that seemingly you can not deliver and you offish attitude and inference that this problem does not exist does not fill me with any confidence that your software is what I am looking for.

I do look forward to your reply here in public. Oh that is if I am not banned or this post is pulled

respectfully yours

The best solution I found was to move on and save months of work going down the pan
It’s been said before about these problems and more
Then the thread going to private PM messages and killing it
Save the pain and move on

Hi Pete

thanks for the comments.

I have already come to that conclusion but leave saddened that the course of action is so acceptable to those we look to for help and maybe just a small semblance of truth and honesty in the way they conduct their business and lives

Best Regards from the UK
