Ok it seems I have a problem..

I just purchased TheBlogSolution and I've been just using the default template to test a few things out, so far everything seems to work perfect except when the RSS feed has an image in it. Some of the RSS feed services like Google and yahoo put html in their RSS feeds as I'm sure you know and it seems to be effecting the display of the RSS feed (atleast this is my guess).

On 90% of my blogs that use the default template (this is the default template that came with blogsolution) everything looks 100% ok, however when there is a post that has an image it gets messed up.

Look at this, i have taken 3 screen shots and attached them to this post.

firstshot.jpg this is the top of the page, which the first few posts look fine, however we see a post called

"Richie Faces Jail - InTheNews.co.UK"

secondshot.jpg you can see the rest of the page is like squished. I thought it could be the template maybe the default template is bad, but I tried a few of the other templates and the same problem.

So I decided to see whats wrong with  "Richie Faces Jail - InTheNews.co.UK" so I made another screen shot called blogpage.jpg and you can see there is an image there of Nicole Richie..

I started to search all the blogs I created and this "squishing" problem happens every time one of the RSS feed posts has an image in it.

Now is this just a problem with the way the default template is built? and if so what can I do so that when I create templates I don't have the same problem?

CCS, PHP, HTML is easy for me however I always like to look at the default behavior before I dig too much into building my own templates.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I know I have experience a similar problem with other web based RSS feed programs where the HTML in the feed was causing a problem..

Thanks for reading this long post...

Sorry i seen this kinda late.

Yes, all your problems are because of the html inside the rss feeds.

When post is "cut" to for snippet for the index, sometime is cut in th emiddle of a html code, messing everything from tehre to the end.

To avoid most of the problems just use {post-content-notags} instead of the {post-content} in the index templates. This will strip out the html code and use the text only.

You can still use the {post-content} in the posts templates, as there is no cut on that page so all code should be shown properly.
