I just purchased 50 more Blog Solution templates to put in my templates directory and the instructions say to chmod to 777 all the directories and their contents. Is this correct? I have already uploaded other templates and I never set the permissions of the directory contents to 777 on them. Do all of the template files need to be 777?

The setup instructions that came with BS say "select each individual files or folders once they have been uploaded to the server and change the permissions on each of the files listed below."
/common/
/templates/
/translate
Does the trailing / mean all included folders?

If that is the case I have had it wrong since I started, way back last week.

Maybe this would explain some of my missing template issues.

Just got an e-mail from webhost4seo, my hosting company and they say to just chmod the template folders 777 and leave the rest alone. Sound right?

Depends on how the server is set. Usually only /templates/ folder has to be chmodded. If they said to let all as it is and just upload rest, they must know better how server work.
