I am creating TBS templates using blogger templates as guides - just for the heck of it (actually pretty easy to do)

Does anyone have any experience using blogger templates for adsense - like with VI?

If so - does anyone have any ideas on which blogger templates get the best CTR?

Thanks in advance

Hi Tex -

My VI blogs using the standard VI templates are averaging a CTR of 15%.  These were made with standard Blogger templates, modified to insert AdSense. (I don't know if they made any more mods to them.)

Hi David,

Is VI working for you still? I know everything it was putting out was getting killed fast. I heard they did a rework and was wondering if you're having success with it?

Hi Jason -

VI has been a mixed bag for me lately. My oldest VI blogs are still active and still making decent money. Enough so that I'm prioritizing TBS as a replacement! (Working on content!) Some of these I can still post to, and some I don't have the Blogger account any more, so no more posting. I'll keep them until they stop making money.

I had a bunch of VI blogs killed by Blogger. They Blogger accounts were deleted before these really had good indexing. These I've replaced mostly with TBS blogs.

I try periodically to set up new VI Blogger blogs, but still get busted by the spam killers. I'm also setting up VI blogs. These are really too new to rate.

Just in the last few days, they've added the ability to use RSS To Blog with the VI blogs. So I'm setting some up like this now. I don't mind the VI internal poster, but if you drop your subscription, you are done posting. That's no good! So now with R2B, I control the whole blog again.

Just today, they came out with their WP builder. I can't wait to try this! Overall, my WP niche AdSense blogs do well. The problem has always been the speed to build. So we'll see what happens here!

Hi David, and hi to Tex, too.

So is there a place where I can download some templates that actually have 15% ?

Or at least look at them ?

Thanks

Anyone that does stats on Adsense will tell you there are a bunch of

factors to produce click thru rates!

I would give a guestamate that that 15% is coming from very little nest of low Traffic Keywords!

Yes template most defiantly  help big time!

the BS2 templates work nice!

i got them from the forum there is no commission for these so you can believe

what i am stating!

now as far as modifying them and tweeking to produce solid adsense bucks

email me if you want to invest in your future.Cheesy

Most of what I see that has higher click-throughs are sites where the Adsense is very dominant and often disguised.  The latest templates coming out of the article-builder on KA have it so you can't tell what's an ad, and what isn't. They are mentioning 50% ctr's for those!  Basically their article snippets are formatted to use the same format as the Adsense block, and the border is removed from Adsense. So the page looks like a dozen Adsense ad's with no border!

But I like the standard Blogger templates. They are very simple in appearance and coding. I use the Minima a lot.

The thing is, most people that see your site are only on it for a second or two, and you have to make the Adsense the first thing they see, and the easiest way to leave.

To get a Blogger template, just set up a Blogger account, start a blog, click on the template you like, and copy the code from the edit area.

In case you're interested in seeing a sample site using the script David is talking about, here is the first one I created:

http://www.doyouhomeschool.com

The ads are disguised so well I almost clicked on my own...

I love the script.  It is the easiest one I've ever used.

Do you have a clear description of how you insert the BS token into the blogger template? I am probably not the only one interested in this, since I am not so much of a techie...

Thanks for your input!
