404 template page redirect?

Hi,

We have also customised how our 404 page, and have Ads on this page. We worked out that if the page name does not exist, eg. www.domainname.com/mortgage that ads would display related to this page name.

The default 404 does not bring in any ads related to each keyword niche blog we make, so we wanted to look redirecting the 404 to a keyword page for the niche. Eg. If we have a site setup with 50 mortgage related blogs, it may redirect to a page like www.domainname.com/mortgage

Is there an easy way to do this in .htaccess to look for a file with a keyword in it, or make the 404 page have a redirect in it or sometime like this. Not the most technical person in the world, but can follow instruction pretty well. Look forward to hearing back. Cheers - DMAN

That is not possible as i know. The only thing you can set in htaccess is a custom 404 page. One page only.

I have just been bitten by the "Thats Not Possible Bug". Now I have not choice but to make it possible :-)
