html and htm is static.. php can be active.. (by active I mean you can have such things as autoupdated pages and so on..)

oh.. So does it mean if I set output to .php, my site will be updated automatically??

or do I have to change to script for the auto update to work?

Thank you tomtom..

Hmm
, well you need to have something in the php code that updates.. simpley changing htm to php will not make anything on the site autoupdate, you will need a script for that.. you can have alook at "carp" and then install that in you template and you would get a part of your sites that would auto update...

tomtom

PS. If you use CS for the "content" to your auto updates you could get "unique" material in there too Smiley

This seems very interesting. Would the updates really improve rankings that much. If I add content to my site not the pages but the site would this help or would both together really make that big of a difference?

Also do you know what the difference is between the free version and the paid version of carp? I didn't see anything about it on the sight I was on.
