I'm posting this here as there isn't a forim for this product yet.
I've just bought this product basically because I like BS and Cs so I thought I'd give it a go. I'm just experimenting at the moment and wondered if anyone knows how you can increase the amount of text each feed/keyword produces? The default seems to be 1 or 2 sentences, which in my opinion looks pretty naff on the sitepage. A full paragraph would be nice. Any help would be appreciated. I sent an email to support but since Omar is away not sure how long ot will take.

Maybe the solution to your problem could be found looking at how it retrieves the feed in BS2 but I have no more specific answer.
My problem is that I still could not complete a first project because the program allways hangs when it is looking and feeding the keywords or after that, under page generation process. I am working with high speed DSL and XP Home.

I had that problem but it seemed more to be a problem from the rss feeds i choose.. got a lote of stange caracters and so on, when I tried using less keywords and made less pages at each go it worked, but it is still abit unstable.. but now I get fine results.. no problem at all.. but when you use over 500 keywords, then it will be "hanged" from the feeds for asking to much in short time. and that could be what hangs the whole program..
try using only 10 keywords, to test it out.. and one feed (best is ofcourse if you can use your own feed from CS.. then no problem at all...

I'm having similar issues where it is giving an error on generation. It goes and grabs all the feeds, but will popup this error and halt generation of *ANY* pages.
List index out of bounds (-535665783)
Not exactly sure what this means, but it's not related to the index (I don't think) because I get the error when I do (or don't) use "Generate index page" as an option on the "Generate" tab.
I have already tried rebooting my PC, alternating feeds, alternating the options in the program on the "Generate" tab and am using Windows XP Professional with an 8 Mbps connection to the Internet.
I have been personally asking about the forum for rssE for a while too (since the day I bought it). Would be nice to organize this content in the forum properly.

Hmm the length of the text is really up to the feed you choose to use, if you have a look at the rss feed in it self you can see how long the text is, it is normally not much more then one or 2 sentences, they want "you" to click to read the rest.. and since this program does not "scrape" the whole article but just the rss feed you get it this way.. use content solution to it and you can ajust length of the article yourself, and get it all uniqe..
Yeah a rssE forum would be really nice.. how are you all doing with the RSS-e? Getting index ok with it?
PS. Sorry to hijack your thread, but there was not much else..

Not too big. Less than 100 pages total, and it was only one feed's output per page (so maybe 8-10 article senrances with links to articles).
Not sure why it happened and haven't been able to duplicate. I can say that it may have something to do with not having any Text Unit data ...not that it should matter, but I noticed most of the times were without text in there.

Once we have an official forum area for this product, I'll re-post or ask Omar or Scott to move this thread, but I wanted to share this with you guys. A little "Template Generator" side project I've been working on in my spare time (yeah right! spare time? ...sheesh!). http://www.ashworthconsulting.com/rsse_template_generator/Just read the on-screen instructions. Basically enter your AdSense information, then hit submit. From that point, just hit refresh a million, bagillion, trillian, zillian times and have unlimited templates. Suggestions for improvements welcome, as I included the basic stuff already. I've already requested more "tokens" from Scott for the next version of the program so that we can get a little more custom Enjoy!

Hi there
Wow that is really great stuff! I liked the generator and it really makes it easy!
Having it so automated, it would be great if there was a button that saved the files in a directory too, but that is just me being lazy now..
Thanks again
T:))

New forum area may be up as soon as next week. Keep checking As for TomTom's idea, yup ...I thought about that, but since rssE requires us to manually copy the template into the program (x4 might I add) each time we want to change it, it doesn't really work for us to throw them into a directory. Now TBS however .....this could become a reality. Let me get some more features going, and once we get the more random things working on refresh, then I'll have it do you can generate maybe 10, 25, 50, 100, 200 from a pulldown select box, and it will do it on my server, save to diff directories, and then zip them for you to download and FTP to your own server. That's probably the simplest way. This would suit TBS users well (I use it too) and shouldn't be too far off. I was thinking about other ideas you guys may have though. Beyond just changing colors, which isn't enough for Google ...we can do better. What are some other things I can throw in there that can be random each time you refresh? Here are my suggestions/thoughts and I'm welcoming any feedback.... [*]Moving the sidebar from left to right at random intervals [*]Date - although this would make the pages technically different, the date wouldn't update every day until PHP is allowed within the template (I don't think it is 100% fully functional, only partially)

Hi Yeah this is great stuff, but it would make it simpler anyway with having all 4 files in a folder, when you then use rssE and hit "load" the template for the index page, you just chose the folder and klick on "index", then for the next page (general) when you click on,load template, then it will open the same folder again that you picked the index from.. makes it faster to pick the templates! I agree with the randomly changing the side bar, but it woud be great to use diffrent adds aswell, I always use a great big box right under the title of the page and under the box the text. people dont like scrolling so I get about 30%better klick rate on pages like that.. Different fonts would be good too, as layout, color, font and a few things like that are important to cover your footprints I will see what I can come upp with more.. the ide of downloading a ziped file with 200 templates is great..

having all 4 files in a folder, when you then use rssE and hit "load" the template for the index page The thing is, I have two monitors and I have rssE in one monitor, and FireFox in the other montor. So it's copy and paste between the monitors ...didn't really think about how you guys with one screen are doing it. I hated hitting load 4 times so I just did this I'll try to get a v2 going soon... I always use a great big box right under the title of the page and under the box the text Wow, so they click the ad hoping to find a better website? ...I love it All great tips and ideas. Keep them coming and I'll implement what I can.

Hello friends,
Having just started with my copy of RSS Evolution, I managed to generate a site with 940 pages using 17 keywords.
However, I wanted to ask (which could be a silly question?).. there doesn't seem to be any links to the majority of these 900+ pages, other than on the sitemap? While I realise it's great to have that many pages on the sitemap and in the site directory itself, I don't see the point if there are no links to them?
Also, the feed links on the main index page are directed to external sites which takes the user off the site, and I'm not sure if that's a good idea either?
Finally, how will having that many pages with no links affect ranking with the search engines like Google? I'm worried that my site might get banned? Sorry if I sound negative, but I think they might be relevant questions that need to be addressed?
Can anyone ease my fears?
Many thanks bluecat
