I got past my learning curve with RSSE and built a few (100+) webpages today.  After getting them live I decided that I would like to further monetize them with a banner for an affiliate program that is very relevant to the content.

Here's where I am having difficulty. I put the code for the banner into the general pages template and uploaded it. I then tested it to make sure I got the proper placement and that was good. But when I call up any of the pages the banner doesn't show.

After reading a few of the posts here I think I found out the problem. The template is only used for original page generation and not for on the fly modifications, right? So the only way to put the banner on my site is to delete all of the pages, regenerate them with the modified template and re-upload it. Is there any other way?

Yes, but is more complicated. Would require a mass/replace tool and may take more time then just regenerate
