What are some good ways to drive traffic to a video/media site ?

I find that getting traffic links from entertainment sites, web directory submissions, bulletins and good old word of mouth does help.

What other methods and creative ways can you recommend ?

Make it easy for viewers to foward the video to their friend's by having a "Send To Friends" form

Post comments in Youtube. of course from relevant videos.

Just watch out if use that Send to friend.

I had quite some nasty issues with my host comapny when my offline business site was abused by spammers, that used my Send to a friend form to send viagra spam and other sh**.
