When I try to create a static page it doesn't like it.  I can copy and paste a paragraph into the page ok but when I try to edit it or change the words, the paragraph disappears - this happens whether or not I'm in the "view source" page.

Can anything be done address this?

I have this same very problem.

A pop up says "error executing command"

After clicking on the pop up it goes away, but no text in the white box where you put you text shows up.
When I preview the web page its there...but I can not edit the content of the static page.

I have tried deleting and then re-inserting this page, but still get the same problem.

Can some one help out.

Cheers,

Brian

Hi guys

When did you made your installs? Have you tried running the update process described in the sticky thread here?

Hi Omar

I went to the update thread and redid them all as per instructions but it still won't let me edit already done text.  Also I can't find this

In the plugins menu, under ebay, you will see a command for the cron. Copy that line and paste to cron command field in your control panel

Do I look in the ebay.cron.php page?  I did do that but it's mainly a load of weird characters so I don't know what to post in the cron panel.

I'll try again with the pasting in of ready made text.  (edit) I've tried it and I have to keep swapping between "view source" and the other page. It also brings up a square instead of an apostrophe on the final page view.

thanks

Hi Omar,

I used the update that was posted on the server - approx. date was May 8, 2008. I tried it again today...and followed the same instructions that you provided on a previous thread called "Updating your site to current version." that was posted on Apr 14 2008.

The really strange thing, is that I created a new page, and the new page works fine...but the old page (original problem page) is still giving me errors...so I can't do any work on it.

I obviously am doing something wrong, just don't know what.
Any more ideas?

Have there been more updates since early May 08?

Cheers,

Brian
