I believe the cron command is:

/usr/bin/php /home/(your user login)/public_html/(folder ss is in)/plugins/ebay/ebay.cron.php

You could set your cron for every six hours or so.

Dan:

Does the new ebay Plugin automatically set the crons?  I am not familiar on how to do that and was wondering if you have found any threads in this forum on how to do that.  Is there instructions with the new plugin?  I wish Scott and Omar would supply announcements about updates and also provide videos for updates.  The videos provided for us are outdated.

Thanks,

Rick

Well unless I missed the comment point....

It seem to make a store successful it must update and stay updated..

So not sure why programmer would not build this into software but I assume crons will do this using ...  If not a plugin at extra cost for those who which to would be in order ...

Unless this is the answer :
/usr/bin/php /home/(your user login)/public_html/(folder ss is in)/plugins/ebay/ebay.cron.php

For a cron job, go to Cpanel.  Click on Cron jobs.  Click on Standard.  on Entry 1, or whatever entry you are going to use, paste the above mentioned cron "code" (after putting in your info in the brackets) into the "command to run" line.

In the minutes box, just choose a random minute that the cron will run on.  I put mine on 51.  In the hour(s) box, go up toward the top and highlight "every six hours."    Months box should be "every month".  Days box should be "every day."  Weekday(s) box should be "every weekday."

Above the Entry 1 box there is a line: "Please enter an email address where the cron output will be sent:"  you can put your email here or just leave it blank.  I put mine in so I get the report every six hours that the cron ran ok.

This should keep ebay listings updated.

Thank you Dan for spelling that out in detail for everyone. I'm sure it filled in alot of the blanks.

I created my cron job and it seems to be working okay.

I do wish that notifications to updates to the SS install archive (with a brief explanation of the changes) would be emailed to everyone that purchased so we can be sure we all have the latest version.

That would definitely put an end to alot of the questions posted here.

Thanks,
Teresa
