I encounter a cron job error after I have transfer my hosting to PHP/5.2.11

everytime the cron job is ran,
using the plugin as recommended
I receive an email
500 Internal Server Error X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.11 Content-type: text/html 0

the site do not automatic update
can anyone help
