If a visitor clicks thru from a SST site to Amazon or Ebay, will we get commissions for anything that visitor purchases on Ebay or Amazon (within cookie timeframe), or do we only get a commission if they buy the item they clicked on in our SST site?

It would seem like a waste to send traffic to eBay and Amazon and not get credit for it when the visitor sees a different item they prefer once they get to Amazon or eBay.

That would depend on how amazon and ebay track surfers and sales. It should have some time based cookies too as i know.

I'm hoping someone will confirm this issue. In a typical affiliate link on a web site, the click is tracked by both eBay (when it was with CJ) and Amazon. And subsequent purchases were credited to the affiliate who sent them.

I would really like to have a confirmation on this issue.

The issue.... the proof of the pudding. Has anyone gotten their store to a point where they are seeing clickthroughs and sales and commissions? Both Amazon and CJ have a way to track daily sales. And I am guessing that the new eBay Network also does that... in fact I am sure it does, as that is shown on the page when you log in. From this information, it would be visible that if the visitor buys other things along with the clicked item, that would also show. If the coding does NOT "glue" the affiliate code to subsequent sales, then there is a problem.

Is anyone making sales yet? And tracking them to see what is going on?

Ocasionally i get emails from people about sales, specially when a first sale ever is made, some send me an email about it. I just got one this morning.

Unfortunately, they don't feel like, or maybe not have time to, or just don't think is important to come on forum and let everybody know they made a sale.

Hi guys this was me, i sent an email off to Omar yesterday telling him i got my first sale, it was 4 a  Whopping $6.68, its not alot but its a start and since i sent that email i have made Another 2 sales so im on a bit of a ROLL

Also i have noticed my traffic has spiked in the last few days maybe its because i added some video and news feeds to my site.
TIP DO THIS NOW........google will want to sleep with you 4 this Smiley

Dont just build your site  and hope for the best.... you gotta get outthere and do as much promotion as possible, get some backlinks into you site, submit your site to web directorys and social bookmarking sites and many more...they worked for me

What i will say is Hang in there, it takes time and EFFORT to make any site work, and i know, ive bought load of different site building softwares and i have to say SS is the most stable of the lot and the upgrades are KOOOL.

Hats off to OMAR and the crew at SS they have been nothing but helpful.

Dutchy;

I tried to take a look at your videos on golf site through Mozilla firefox and the page would not come up.  I received a error message in firebug which follows:

document.getElementById("_ytplayer_vjVQa1PpcFN3aGxMXWfhaVAFOCSVUVxSFbLNymXfRtU=") is null
__ytInitPlayer_1210946507()vjVQa1PpcFN3aGxMX... (line 28)
__ytPlayerReadyCheck_1210946507()vjVQa1PpcFN3aGxMX... (line 34)
(?)()vjVQa1PpcFN3aGxMX... (line 36)
[Break on this error] document.getElementById("_ytplayer_vjVQa1PpcFN3aGxMXWfhaVAFOCSVUVxSFbLNymXfRtU...

Not sure if IE gives same error?

BTW I sent you a PM a while ago and never received a reply?
