Is there a way to organize the categories in the left side Menu column? I could not find another post that addresses this. I apologize in advance if this is already covered.

The script puts them in, in the order you create them. There needs to be a way to organize these so they make sense.

The only way I see to do it is to copy the input page, where you create or edit a Category, and save to like an email/draft. Then, to delete the Category altogether, and rebuild it......... along with several or many others, as you RE-build the Menu column. This is a whole lot of work.

This needs a tool such as the browser tool in IE, where you can move things around.

Thanks for any help with this.

It is a way if you have the last version: http://halfagain.com/forum/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=2402

Not sure what you mean by "a tool such the browser tool in IE", but IE is a windows program and SS is a php script. They will never be able to have similar functions.

Wow, thanks! I will update ASAP tonight.

What I actually meant was that, for instance, in the Menus in IE, you can rearrange and customize the menus. And for instance in Outlook Express or Windows mail, with the function for creating filters and folders, that also has the tool for moving folders up and down, and customizing your saved filters.

So, with today's update, it sounds like you've added this ability. Thanks!

I have just updated SS, per the new version of yesterday, 5/14.

I log in. All is well on 'home page' but when I click to one of the 3 Category pages, the control panel bar at the top.... disappears.

I have quite a few 'standalone' pages set up.... Privacy, Terms & Conditions, Articles... etc. These are showing just fine, with the top menu in the control panel.

What happened? The Category control panel on the top is GONE. These three pages/3 category pages now show as if you just surfed in... no cpanel bar. But if you click to Home or to the 'pages' ... the cpanel bar comes back. You are NOT logged out.

Help!

This has been around for awhile. Omar indicated that it was fixed but
that pesky little bugs hides for a while then comes back.

Omar posted the solution again in another post today.

Hi HT, and thanks for responding. Yes, that was also my post that Omar replied to and it was an immediate fix! The admin tools are again intact. And the update is awesome... the Clickbank pictures are showing, and the ability to customize the way Categories are listed, works great. My first SS store is almost ready to fly. I've had several AHA! moments with this script. It is extremely powerful. Now to get on with figuring out how to tie all of the scripts together. I want to add BS to this site, and others going forward.

Have a super day Smiley

Hi HT... somewhere in the Forums, Omar responded to me concerning this. I'm not sure I understood it all, but I had already thought of it.... but I am thinking that perhaps they can be used together. But Omar said it had to do with things added to the .htaccess file. I will go back through the postings, as I think he gave me a URL to the posting in question. Ahhh. So confusing. :p

ps. I think this is now off-topic from "Category" issues. Sorry :-(
