This may have been mentioned here somewhere already, but I've read quite a few here that can't get the msn spider to show up to spider their site.
A method that works almost without fail is the following:
As soon as you put up your site/page, or if you have a site that msn hasn't been to yet, go to msn.com and enter in the search field:
http://www.yourdomain.com (subdirectory also if you like)
The result page will come up saying something like "we couldn't find any results containing
http://www.yourdomain.com"
Further down on that page it says "If you cannot find a page that you know exists, send the address to us" Click on that link.
Now enter the characters that come up, type in your URL, and press submit.
The msn spider usually shows up within six hours or less.
I've gotten tons of sites in msn this way.
