I have BS2 sites that have been up since it was first available and have a few pages indexed (granted the BS1 sites were there and eventually disappeared) - but - I set up a site yesterday...and already have over 100 pages indexed - go figger...and in yahoo...one page shows up

other sites that had hundreds of BS2 pages indexed...no longer list them...Google is weird

I've been noticing big changes in my sites also (non BS related).  Google's fluctuating like crazy lately.

Don't forget two things:

- SE's are cyclical. One site can get indexed in a day. The exact same thing put up tomorrow can take a month.

- The "luck" factor. I've done tests building the exact same sites multiple times, all with different results. So despite the formulas they use, some things are just unexplanable.

Which all makes this a very interesting game! Cheesy

This will always be the case. The key point to learn here is to build fast and non-stop.

Don't stop and worry (complain or rejoince) about indexing and de-indexing.

Roll your sleeves, put your head down and in 6 months youll see steady income across the board.

Absolutely agreed,, google is getting very hard to follow and monitor what is happening... in a way I think they are making the algoritms so that more websites actualy get the chance to get the massive visitors, not only to make webmasters lives miserable,, sometimes I am angry with them, yet sometimes I aprove of how they do it...

I have read a great article on this topic though,, and it makes a lot of sense. Maybe some of you guys find it just as interesting and helpfull as I did.

Just keep adding solid content to your sites and get backlinks to them.

Don't worry so much about them because you will tear your hair
out trying to figure them out

Google alogrthyems seem to change like the days on the calanders Sad

Drip good content...

I also heard they HIGHLY reward backlinks that are placed on the homepage, and not jammed in with others, but in the or on the bottom of the actual content sections..

I don't bother with google I target msn for links credits and yahoo seems to pick up my blogs better than google.
Same thought occured to me when I have  a one page site with few links has a PR3 and a whole content site that ranks PR4.
My stats show the best SE's are msn and yahoo and google lasr...
These days I don't care about google at all nor should you, foucus on more content and links and google will get around to you in 6 months or so mean while get your traffic  from msn as I do.
I have a lot of subdomains built with RSSEVEl and these are just for links as I don't beg for links anymore I just create my own link real estate.
Google mania and PR obsession will not get you traffic links and blogs will.
