How's it worked out for you.  I've never paid for a link in my life and often wonder.  Seems a good way to burn through some $$$ fast.  What do you think

Hi Scott -

I bought a pr7 link on eBay once, for something like $7 for a moth, and used it with a virgin site as a test. It did NOTHING, didn't even bring one spider. Someone told me they use cloaking. So when I looked at their site, I would see this pr7, but somehow the SE's saw something different. (So maybe they had one pr7 page, and were selling thousands of links for it.)

Buyer beware, I guess!

You should use something like this before buying anything based on PR:

Good tip. Here's one that checks future pr:

(Although that can really only be an educated guess.)

I'd probably be rich if I knew that formula

Educated guess? I don't know how sophisticated they are. One thing I noticed is that they virtually always rate blogs a future of "0" which I know just isn't going to be true!  But on dsome of my standard WH sites, it seems to work pretty well.
