"All of the search engines like to see websites in flux. A static website is a dead website, as far as the SEs go. You should plan to add new pages of content to your site every week."

Normally a "dead" site will loose its ranking in the search engines, as competitors will add new and fresh content and you wont.. but there is always the exceptions.. I have one very old site that Im now just waiting for to see if it will ever drop... it is always in serp 1 and earns a good 1-10 usd a day.. dont know why it is there or how it got there.. but now Im just not updating it to see what effect it will have.. 6 months more and I will start to hammer the keywords instead with other sites.. good earners Smiley
