Since having my adsense disabled for unknown reasons, I have taken tomtom's advice and have gone to affiliate mode. My question is, can I keep the same domain names? Will they still get indexed in Google or have they black balled my urls? Can domain names be changed under the same IP? Any answers would be very much appreciated.

Once I had this site that was ranking very well for a bunch of phrases in google. I placed (arguably) some content "of mature nature" in the site and after a couple of weeks I received a warning email from adsense saying they disabled ads on this site and blah blah blah.

So I go check and the website is still indexed in google but has fallen off the serps. Funny enough though... left untouched without any intervention (well except from removing the adsense code) on my side, the site was ranking again for the exact same phrases after a couple of weeks.

It was like they manually allocated a penalty and then the site climbed back to the serps because it was ranking for organic/algorithmic reasons.

So my guess would be yes, they probably will place some kind of penalty to your domains. But you should know that right now. Have your domains been banned? Lost rankings?

My guess is that if they were ranking for somewhat "natural" reasons, they will come back. If they were VERY spammy, both in appearance and in linking scheme... then chances are you lost them, at least in google.

No, my domains have not been banned. At least I think they haven't. I had thousands of pages indexed. After being disabled, the indexes dropped to several hundred. No spam either, adult content, etc. My pages were natural.

Can I change my domain names, or am I basically stuck with them? I realize I can add more domains, just want to avoid wasting any time with the current urls if it isn't necessary.

Thanks

It sounds like they applied some kind of manual penalty but if your domains are relatively "healthy" (as in not too much dupe content, and not too many spam links) then they should be ok and will probably regain their position when the dust settles. At least that's my guess.

Just remove adsense code from your pages, put affiliate banners and start monetizing that traffic. Theres some talk that if you stuff your pages with aff links though, google might penalize it as well, so maybe redirect all those links thro some kind of tracking url or something. Or load them via an iframe.
