Will it be possible to improve the Clickbank plugin in regards to the product descriptions that are being pulled into the store? Every description seems to be providing info on the commission payout and conversions rather than provide information about the product itself.

I'm considering disabling the plugin since this would be an obvious turnoff when a visitor sees this.

Just thought I'd bring this up since I didn't see anyone else mention it in the forums.

Hopefully this CB Plugin issue can be resolved in a future update.

Larry

P.S. - Storestacker is still an amazing piece of software! Smiley

Unfortunately that is CB fault. SS just list descriptions, titlesd, etc that CB offer through their feed. And is that bad sometime. Even in their marketplace you will find same descriptions.. i think they should have made some rules about what could be added in a product description and what not.. but seems they don't care..

Thanks Omar!

I'll just utilize the 'edit product' feature to customize the description myself.

Omar is right. The CB model is flawed as it does not allow one description for affiliates and another for purchasers, which would be the very least one would expect. I edited the templates to exclude the product description and show only the titles, which are not as bad in general.

BTW, Scott, Omar if you are listening, this is another application for a negative search keyword. Excluding '$' and '%' would trash most of the CB products with rubbish descriptions.

stdrlw15,

Help me out, where's 'edit product'?  I see 'add product'.

Thanks.

You need to select a product before be able to edit it. Click on a product name, to get to the product details page, and you will see an edit product too in the menu.

I think the negative search keyword will indeed be very helpfull and maybe it could be selectively switched on and off if and when needed in Grab and push
