I would like to be able to set up a single-product-focused site with a maximum of 5 to 7 pages.

The structure would obviously include the standard privacy statement, contact us, and about us page but in addition, it would focus on a single product which would include under the main product category, additional categories such as features, reviews, specifications, videos and perhaps some product-specific articles.

Each of the categories would pull various parts of content from the vendor's site. ie: customer reviews would be pulled from the customer review section of the vendor. (alternatively, I could get it myself but automation is way cooler!)

Thanks,

Jim Lorenzo

Well.. you can create privacy, about us and stuff like that through static pages menu.

However, the second part: "Each of the categories would pull various parts of content from the vendor's site. ie: customer reviews would be pulled from the customer review section of the vendor." is way too vague and inconsistent. Who is the vendor, what are the possible sections!? Not all vendors have such info available, actually, beside Amazon, i don't know another affiliate data feed that would give access to customer reviews. Not to speak about videos, technical specifications or articles. I don't know any affiliate program that has a standard system, that can be automated, to access videos or articles.

You're right Omar, I was specifically referring to Amazon.  Does the plugin always bring back all the product data or can we selectively indicate what detail we want to display on any specific page?

Thanks,

Jim

The amazon plugin only grab title, image, description, price and buy link (actually that is what all plugins grab). That is the data usually available on all affiliate programs. SS is not an amazon storefront, it was specifically made to blend in products from more programs, so it has to use only data generally available.
