need to a feature to keep the content static for a selectable range of random number of days.  for example, RSS feed will pull the static content for 2 days. After that, it pulls changed content which stays static for 4 days, and so on.

It's not good to change the content everytime the spider visits.  it can revisit immediately and penalize if it sees content changing.

we really need a feature that can set minimum and maximum number of days before a change is refreshed to the content.

right now, search engines simply visits a page again immediately after its visit, and bingo, it detects that the content changes immediately => potential penalty for us all.

The random feature is necessary, do you agree?
