One of the things that I heard in the past and I still think now is that the CS interface would be easier to use if the variables and text were side by side. (I am having trouble with my host that has CS right now so I can't be more specific.) When you go through adding words or phrases within the variable data, it is cumbersome to scroll up and down everytime to in order to make sure the added phrases for the content will be readable.
It would be easier to have the variables and variations on one side and the content area on the other...side by side.

A really nice gui feature would be the ability to right clickover a variable within the content and have the phrase variation list popup in a dhtml box or something (with the ability to add or subtract phrase variations within the dhtml popup). That might not be doable though.

yeah and then if one could "highlight" a section and push "F1" or what ever and that section would then be changed with a variable from the list, so one could easy check how the variables look... But that might not be doable... but what the hell, its chrismas soon, so one can wish!
All the best
