I was wondering with the new update of the Utube plugin when you go to the admin of your SS site it lists the plugin and says "no install required".  There is a code to set up a cron job present.  My qusestion is what code do you have to place in the template files  or is the code already present in the .tpl files?

Thanks,

Rick

Rick, i am not sure i understand.. The line presented there is the cronjob to be used in cpanel to run the rule automatically, just like for ebay.

To do what?

Youtube plugin uses the products.rss.tpl, which is similar to normal products.tpl but a bit different (does not have a Buy button and few small changes).

successtrax  you dont need to place any code,

the plugin work same as the other plugins and it pull videos and display them same as  products. Have a look at this page http://www.travel-e-store.com/categories/123/ayuthaya-videos
that is what it looks like when u import using the plugin

Have a question.  In some of the youtube videos there is a link from the producer of the video or sometimes a 800#.  how can one stop our visitor from purchasing from someone in the youtube video?

I find that the youtube videos are the one category I have to edit  quite a lot. I get videos that bear no resemblance to what the site is about (no fault of SS more a youtube thing) and a lot of videos promoting things for sale that I don't want on my site.

Just delete the videos you don't want.

I created a new category and I wanted only youtube videos to show up on that page, however, youtube videos are showing up on the home page, and product pages. My question is how can I prevent this from happening?

homepage has own settings, you can force it to show random proeducts, youtube ones should show lot more seldom then normal products, as the rest of products are lot more generally. You can also force any of the non-youtube categories to be shown on the homepage.
