I am always looking for ways to improve my websites without spending a lot of money, or using complicated tools.

Below are some tools I have found that will help you with your website, and they're very easy to use.

I will be adding to this list, and if there is something you would like to see, please post your comments, and I'll do the research.

The tools and resources you find here are free, I've tested them, and anyone can use them.

Color Palette - This is for those of you who have a really cool header graphic you want to use, but you don't know what colors will match. This tool takes the guesswork out of it. You upload your header graphic, and it tells you what colors to use on your site. This is the one I used to find the right colors for my websites, and it helped me find the right colors for my ads.

Custom Sign Generator - This site offers all kinds of tools to create banners and other graphics for your website. It's one of the most comprehensive resources I've found.

Free Niche Graphics - Get 12 free header graphics here.

3D Headers - Use this tool to create 3D header graphics for your site.

Styleshout - Free CSS templates you can easily modify for your site. These templates can be used on your blogs, your SS, or any other kind of site you are building, and because they're easy to modify, it will save you a lot of time.

Pop Up Toolkit - Create a free, unblockable popup for your website. This is great for announcements, subscription boxes, specials, etc.

RSS Simple - For those of you like me who want to add RSS feeds to your site and offer more content, this is a really simple tool you can use. Serves up javascript, PHP, and IFrames. This tool will help you make your site a little more valuable.

Again, this list is far from complete, but since I'm not sure what all of you need to build the kind of site you want, this will get you started.

Hello Jinger,

I looked at your sites - they are great.  Quite amazing what you can do with SS.
Having said that - I find that I take quite a while to get right keywords for my sites......then sort the lists to comma separated(is there a tool)?  And what keyword software can I use to make this step easier - somewhat I dont find wordtracker good inspite of all the popularity it gets...may be I dont know how to use it right.?  Anyway - please let me know.......so I can move on better with SS?

Has anyone tried keywordspy - is it good?

I use microniche finder......not sure how really good it is will see from my results.

This is free and pretty easy to use and it also give you the strenght of the competition for people using those keyword in adsense and the popularity of the search.

So if you are also using adsense on your site and your keywords are very competitive for adsense ads it also indicates the the cost of those google adsense adds will be higher which means a better commission for you from adsense clicks.

If you decide you want to use the translators (these can help with your conversions), you will need to go here to get the code, as well as the flags. http://www.donutey.com/translationportal.php You can also edit the code I have to your domain. Just make sure you change it to your domain. Otherwise, it will translate pages on my site, not yours. I'm sorry. I thought I uploaded the file, but I didn't. It should be working now. Just remember what I said about the header graphic. Replace it with your own.

If you don't want the translator, you can take that out too. Jinger
