SS lets you create authority sites with the ability to have a wide variety of products.

It lets you monetize through Google, but if you're like me, and you got banned from Google Adsense during one of their Google slaps, you may be looking for other ways to monetize your site.

Here are a few suggestions. This list is not all inclusive. If you have a recommendation, please add it to this thread.

7 Dollar Offers - You can create non contextual ads from $7 ebooks. You get to choose the category, as well as use keywords. This is an easy way for you to make money through Pay Pal. You'll need a Pay Pal account for this.

CB Topsites - If, for whatever reason you want to display Clickbank ads on your site, this is an easy way to do it. The ads are fully customizable. You need an account. It's free.

Yahoo Publisher - This is an alternative to Google Adsense, and the one I use. Quite frankly, although they don't serve up as wide variety of ads as Google, they do pay better.

Pay Dot Com - Offers a sidebar widget, as well as an XML feed.

Ebay - In addition to adding Ebay results to your store, you can also add products from Half.com. Ebay also has RSS feeds and all kinds of ads and widgets you can add to your site.

Chitika - Nice comparison widget you can add to your site, and you can get a lot of different sizes.

Widget Box - Although this isn't a way to monetize your site per say, I believe there are some widgets you can use to monetize your site. Also a great way to syndicate your content to other sites.

If you want more, you can download Google Adsense Alternatives. This ebook has 34 different ways to monetize your site with ads.

Suggestions, questions, comments? Post them. It's how we make this better for everyone.

The other day I posted a link to Sitemapspal.

However, after I did it, I had a problem of my own, and I kept getting a crazy redirect, making it impossible to build my sitemap.

So, I went over to Google to see if I could find something else.

I found this, and I've integrated it into my sites. It's easy to set up, it's free, and it works like a charm.

Automatic Sitemaps

The only problem I did have was that I got a 404 when I first tried to install it.

I added the .htaccess file to my main site to the directory, and it fixed it.

I'm including that file here for those who can't write their own, or to help you. Unzip it, and put it INSIDE the autositemap file.

For those who wanted an automated sitemap solution, this should easily solve it for you.

For those interested in other ways to create sitemaps, here is the link to Google:

Hope this helps. Jinger

Hi Jinger,

Great Advise

Getting advertisers can be an option - thats why I have those small phrases - "advertise with us -free trial" on my site.

I looked at the different ways to Monetise - pse see my site here and advise:
http://popularsoftwaresite.com

How do I intergrate the $7 offers?
where do I place the link I get given?

I tried with the static pages but it obviously shows my email address - which I cant entertain.

What do you think can work best for my site with the options you have given?

I have also looked at CBTop sites but its not clear where to register.  I guess with this you simply replace the adsence codes...right?

thanks again,
Olive

To access CB Top Sites, you have to click on the link that says Webmasters and Affiliates. You'll find all of the instructions there.

To add your additional ads, log into your members' panel and click on Preferences. You'll find the different ad blocks there.

Ad Unit #1 is in the sidebar. You can use a 120x600 size ad.

Ad Unit #2 is 336x280. I would add one there to your site. This could be $7 ebooks, another Google Adsense ad, or whatever you want.

Nice looking site. Do you have a list? If so, add a subscription box to the sidebar and build your list.
