I'm having a heck of a time trying to install TCS2 on my windows machine. I referred to the instructional videos & pdfs but since they suggest using cpanel (which I do not have) to set up mysql database, I'm not sure what I need to do to finish the process.

Can anyone offer a suggestion? Please?

THX

PS: I noticed before purchasing that the order page doesn't specify whether or not TCS and RssE can be used with a windows machine, while it does say that TBS cannot be loaded onto a windows machine. I took a chance that they caveat provided wasn't applicable to me since I'm only using TCS and RssE. Please tell me that my purchase wasn't made in vain?

I'm not 100% sure but i think i've read somewhere TBS and TCS only run on Unix servers.

RSS Evolution is a desktop application so you should have no problems running that (unless you're running a MAC).

This is the warning I was referring to:

    *  *nix (Linux, FreeBSD, ...) box (we had no success installing BS on windows boxes..)
    * PHP
    * MySQL
    * Zend Optimizer

Could an admin clarify this (highlighted)? I believe I am correct in assuming that 'BS' and 'CS' are two separate programs. If so, then I'd hope that a windows solution can be presented.

If not... :mad:

I send you an email earlier, but i was wrong a bit. I thought we do not have any requirements listed for CS at all... What you just paste above is not the full text on the purchase page. I just went to that page to be sure, and the full text is this.

What are the requirements?

BlogSolution and ContentSolution are server-based applications. You need to install the scripts on your server. You need at least one domain and a hosting account that support:
*nix (Linux, FreeBSD, ...) box (we had no success installing BS on windows boxes..)
PHP
MySQL
Zend Optimizer

Additional settings may be required to use BlogSolution and ContentSolution with advanced features.

CS and BS are 2 separated programs, but we do say that both need same thing. Even if we mention that we could not install BS on windows, it does not mean that we installed CS, it means we never tried, nobody tried or reported it so we are not sure. The requirements for the scripts to work 100% should be clear enough, they say CS and BS need that stuff. Anything else may work, but we can't guarantee.
