Hi,
I want to set up a mysql database using cpanel on a domain where I already have an established website. Is it o.k. to do that? Will it alter that site in any way? Shoul I use a fresh domain? Thanks

You do not have to use a fresh domain for CS, unless you want that.
You ca install it in a folder of an existing website.

It will not affect the actual website in any way. All you neeed to do is create mysql database specially for CS, maybe a username as well, with all privileges over the database (using cpanel or oter way). Do not use existing database.
