The plugin to eBay's new affiliate program is now available!

Here are the instructions on how to update your stores, plus, you can view a new update tutorial video here - http://storestacker.com/videos.html.

The link where can always get our latest files and updates is http://halfagain.com/delivery/.

First, navigate to this link, enter your order ID # and download the 'installation archive'.  This is a full zip of the latest version of StoreStacker (you'll need to update everything that's mentioned below).

(This process is only an update and will keep your existing store intact.)
1) Unzip the file (install.zip) you downloaded.

2) Upload and overwrite all files from the store root (admin.php, index.php, install.php, click.php).
PLEASE NOTE:  DO NOT REUPLOAD the .htaccess file. Never upload htaccess again after your initial install.

3) Upload and overwrite your /admin/ folder.

4) Upload and overwrite your /plugins/ folder.
(If there are additional plugins that you have in separate zips (like clickbank), unzip them and upload your plugin folder to your StoreStacker plugins folder, next to default plugins (ebay and amazon)

5) Upload and overwrite all of the files inside /common/ folder root: lc.p, common.php, crpt.php, ebat_rss.php.. and so on to xml.php.
Only upload the files at this step.

6) Upload and overwrite /adodb/ folder inside /common/ folder root
Only upload the /adodb/ folder, but NOT the other folders (SiteemoLSA and smarty) and NEVER just upload the whole common folder.

7) If there were no changes to templates, you can also upload the /template/ folder. If you made custom changes to your templates, do not upload again.

1 MAJOR RULE FOR UPLOADING FILES:
Make sure your ftp client is set to use binary upload, as all files need to be uploaded in Binary mode. Never use ascii or auto.

the ebay plugin is inside the install.zip (which you'll get by clicking the 'installation archive' link.  If you follow the directions above exactly, you shouldn't have any issues.

As for your store getting messed up, shoot an email over to support@halfagain.com, let Omar know what happened (include ftp username and password) and he'll help you out.

No C & D you won't see the Ebay Plugin per se. However, if you read further you will see it's in the total install file above the clickbank file. No tricks, it's all there. Smiley

It works. Just need to know if there's anything to the custom ID. I have my customer ID, but need to know if I can just make something up for the custom ID. I assume it's like a tracker.

I can see in the ebay affiliate system where we can create our own campaigns and by doing so we ger a special tracking number and do not use the default number.

Wondering where you find your customer number in the ebay affiliate network? All I can seem to find is my name and custom tracking # for the site I have up?

Also can you elaborate a little as to what goes into the "Campaign Id" and "Custom Id" under ebay in the store stacker form under settings?

Like Cloak & Dagger I followed the written instructions and video exactly.

After I installed ebay it removed all products for clickbank and amazon.

I dont have a ebay custom id and dont know how to get one. Does anyone know how? If so please let me know? I have all my campaign id's set up ok for all my websites but no custom id. Is this the reason it is stuffing up?

I ended up deleting the ebay plugin and regenerating the feeds for clickbank and amazon and got my site back that way.

Something seriously wrong here!

Regards, Ian

Boy is this starting to become very frustrating.

Followed the instructions as stated.

When I get to the admin area "Plugins" it shows "Install" against Amazon and ebay and "Setup" against Clickbank.

Clickbank is complete with my ID without me doing anything

Inside "Amazon" it has provision for "Web Services ID" which I have never had or required and "Associate ID" -- which I completed. Clicked "Save" just takes me back to the original window .

Inside ebay has provision for "Campaign ID" which I completed and "Custom ID" which I don't have. Clicked "Save" -- surprise , surprise -- same result as Amazon.

Can someone please tell me what I should do to correct this situation -- excluding "start all over again".

Thanks and regards ,

Norman H

G'day xyour925job/Scott ,

I entered the same data into both boxes in Amazon and ebay and it saved OK.  So far so good -- still apprehensive -- but time will tell I guess.

Thanks and regards ,

Norman H

I don't have a cj account and I joined the new EbayPartnetNetwork.
Now, should I enter anything at "CommissionJunctions Publisher ID" area under "Preferences"? Or should I just leave it blank?

There is a help section in de ebay partnernetwork:

What is a Custom ID?
A Custom ID is an affiliate defined 256 character flex field that you can leverage to better monitor your marketing efforts. This value will be associated with each transaction you drive and will be available in your transaction download reports.

You don't really need it for store stacker. Only thing you need to do is create an unique campaign for every store (read site) you want to create.

More about the campaigns is here:
