April 1st - StoreStacker goes live with a BANG.

It’s been in development for the past year and today, our baby went live at 12:01 this morning.  Sales started coming in immediately, with no announcements having been sent.  It’s now mid-afternoon and we’re nearing the 500 customer limit on the free clickbank plugin.  But I digress…

If you’re not familiar with StoreStacker, here’s some background on this ass-kicking tool.

In a nutshell:
StoreStacker does what NO other software on the market can – load a site with products from eBay, Amazon, and Clickbank, targeting virtually any topic or subject matter.  Users build and run their own, ‘conglomerate’ affiliate store, covering any niche they want, on any site they want.  More programs will be added over the coming months – Paydotcom, Linkshare, Shareasale, Walmart, and more are planned.

Also a sitebuilder:
The software can be used to add products to an existing site or as a standalone site builder (a user can build a site from the ground up with StoreStacker alone).

The benefits of the system:
StoreStacker enables website owners to give their traffic more of what it wants.  More content to read, more information to digest, more products to look at, compare and purchase.  In addition, StoreStacker makes it possible to manage a horde of affiliate offerings (more than they ever could manually) from one interface and updating / trying new product categories is a snap.

Why stack?
Think of it this way.  Let’s take a subject matter like marketing.  Amazon, eBay and Clickbank each individually have a lot of products covering this topic - books, reports, software, etc.  But, StoreStacker enables you to pull products from ALL of these sources and stack them all in one place.  The result?  One site has ALL of the marketing products available.  Essentially, the StoreStacker user’s site has 3 times as many products to feature as Amazon, eBay or Clickbank individually.

With this kind of ‘pull’, a site can become the go-to destination in their niche, because they list EVERYTHING available in one place - more than any other single place.  Add more product sources like Paydotcom, Linkshare, etc, and the sites using StoreStacker become more and more powerful.

HUGE SEO benefits:
StoreStacker can add thousands of pages of content to a site and tons of low-fruit, product-based keywords.  Added to sites that already have solid in-links, this can translate to a nice bump in search engine traffic.  A new site created with the system has a big advantage over any ‘regular’ website.

User reports are also saying that StoreStacker sites get indexed MUCH faster than their normal sites.  Their structure has been specifically designed to make SE spiders happy.

List their own products:
Users also have the ability to list and sell their own products, right along side the products they pull from their ‘regular’ sources.

Who can use it?
We created StoreStacker so that inexperienced users can operate it easily and advanced users will be eternally happy with its depth of functionality.

Unlimited use:
Users can use StoreStacker as many times, on as many websites as they want.

Price:
$97
They’ll get the StoreStacker software along with the ability to pull products from eBay, Amazon and Clickbank (first 500).

1000 customer limit:

StoreStacker’s illustrious future:
Approximately 1 month after we close, we will relaunch StoreStacker (re-open our doors to new customers) with new plugins to more affiliate programs.  We’re planning multiple relaunches, with each relaunch featuring new integrations.  Planned plugins include Paydotcom, Linkshare, Shareasale, and more.  Each plugin will allow users to pull more products on their topics, serve a larger audience and build bigger, more effective websites.

Karaoke…

Poetry slams, open mic nights and karaoke - the ”original” user-generated content.  Who could have guessed your local watering hole would be the precursur to one of the web’s most profitable trends?

C’mon, dare me - say I shouldn’t buy it.

Image courtesy of PA PunditsSomething curious happened to me the other day.  We were having connectivity issues and, in talking to the Comcast (my isp) guy, he mentioned cable ‘insurance’.  Basic idea is this - if there’s a problem with your internet and they send a tech out to your address, one of two things will happen:

a) the tech will find out the problem is their fault and fix it free of charge
or
b) the tech will find out the problem is your fault and you pay a $50 service fee.

However, there’s an insurance policy.  So, if I have the [...]

Babies and software.

It’s been a nutty few weeks and I apologize for the lack of posts.  I suppose I do have a couple good excuse though - a software and a baby.

We’re wrapping up the final stages of our new affiliate shopping system - StoreStacker.  Our developers have absolutely outdone themselves - the software is, in a word, rockin’.  More details en route, as we get closer to launch.  I don’t want to ruin any surprises…

Secondly, my wife and I had our first child a few weeks ago.  She weighs in at approximately 6 lbs, 11 oz, has a towering stature of [...]

The New Years Resolution Rulebook

I think it’s fair to say that New Years resolutions have become a bonafide joke. Most of us have been there…

We set a number of new years resolutions, feel great the first few weeks, but slowly start losing the momentum we had on January 2nd. The slacking starts and faster than you can say “gym membership”, our resolutions become yesterday’s news. By June, we probably can’t remember what half our resolutions were and by the next January, we’ve renewed our faith in goal setting because this time, we’re really going to do it.

So, after years [...]

It’s Not Easy Being Green.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks.  Sorry for the absence, but we’ve been working on a couple of promotions in addition to a new product we’re planning on launching in January.  Exciting stuff.  But, combined with the holidays and other business, we’ve been busy.  Anyway, I hope this post finds you happily enjoying your holiday weekend, well fed and keeping your mind off business.

There are a couple of things I’d like to touch on today…

First of all, I like to highlight good business ideas when I see them, and Luke Knowles over at Virtual Marketing Blog just launched [...]

Remember What Your Mother Said: Say ‘Thank You’.

Here’s a quick little thing I’ve been doing since starting this blog that’s been GREAT for initiating new relationships -

Blogs naturally get links.  I make a post, one of our readers finds it interesting and posts a link to us for their own readers. But, instead of doing the ‘usual’ thing and simply looking fondly at the new links to my blog, then moving onto my next task, I’ve started individually emailing every person that links to us and thanking them.

The problem:  It’s easy to think of the internet as a faceless environment, so, the idea here is to think [...]

Are You In a Relationship?

I recently went down to LA to help my grandparents move.  Long story short, the trip culminated in a 20 hour drive with my father in a moving truck.  Suffice it to say, we got some time to chat.

He mentioned something that’s been whirling around in my head since, and as it applies to today’s post, I thought I’d mention it.  He had a good friend a few years ago, Dave, that died of Hodgkins Disease.  Before he died and realizing that a terminal condition gives it’s ‘victim’ a unique perspective on things, my dad asked Dave what he believed [...]

How to Get Tasty: the 2 things you NEED to get HOT on Del.icio.us

Last week our blog made it on to the del.icio.us Hotlist with its third post.  We saw subscribers double, 325 people bookmarked us and traffic jumped by about 5,000 hits or so.  Not an insane amount of traffic but, all-in-all, it was a nice little bump. So, how’d I do it?

You’ll find you have more control over social media sites than you might think…

Blondes ARE the most popular…

I’ll be honest, we’re an odd species.  People, that is.  Though anyone can easily determine this through 15 minutes of people watching at your local mall, it’s much more obvious (and entertaining) when faced with the ‘evidence’.  But I digress…

I like to waste time.  But really, “waste” is relative.  Others might say I’m wasting time, I say I’m doing research.  One of my newest ways to do … research, is by making use of my keyword tool.

Wordtracker, if you don’t already know what it is, is a keyword script that allows you to see how often different keywords are searched [...]
